Your iCloud+ subscription may now offer more than extra room for photos and backups. Apple has expanded its benefits with improved home security video features, more custom email addresses and, in selected countries, access to Apple TV and Apple Arcade.
The additions make it worth checking what your existing subscription includes before paying for another service. However, availability depends on your country, plan and compatible hardware.
Apple TV and Arcade join selected plans
The biggest addition is entertainment. Apple has expanded iCloud+ to include Apple TV and Apple Arcade at no additional charge in more than 100 countries and regions.
Supported markets include India, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates. The United States and Australia are not on Apple’s published eligibility list. iCloud
For eligible subscribers, the change adds streaming entertainment and a games subscription to a plan they may already be buying for storage.
To check your access, open Settings > your name > Subscriptions > iCloud+. Apple says the included services will appear in your subscription details. Existing Apple One subscriptions continue unchanged.
Home security footage gets smarter
HomeKit Secure Video is receiving useful upgrades through iOS 27, including support for streaming and recording in 4K on compatible cameras.
Apple also describes features that generate descriptions of selected footage and let users search for clips based on what happened. Related activity notifications can be grouped together, making busy camera feeds easier to review.
The practical benefit is less time searching through recordings to find a particular moment. However, a subscription alone will not turn an existing camera into a 4K device. Compatible equipment and the relevant software are still required.
Camera allowances also depend on your storage plan. Apple lists recording support for one camera with 50GB, up to five with 200GB, and unlimited cameras with its 2TB, 6TB and 12TB plans.More addresses for your custom domain
Apple’s updated Custom Email Domain documentation now lists support for up to 10 personalised email addresses per domain, increased from the previous limit of three.
The feature lets subscribers use a domain they own with iCloud Mail. That could suit a family sharing a domain or someone who wants separate addresses for enquiries, bookings and personal correspondence. It offers more flexibility, although additional addresses should not be confused with a complete business email management platform. Domain ownership and configuration are still required.
AI usage benefits need more clarity
Higher AI usage limits have also been reported as a benefit for selected iCloud+ plans, but the details remain unclear.
Apple’s current software documentation confirms that certain features using server based AI are subject to daily limits. These include Siri AI, intelligent photo editing tools, Image Playground and cloud models used in Shortcuts.
Apple says limits can vary and that expanded access will be available for a fee in the future. The documentation checked does not provide a clear breakdown of higher allowances by iCloud+ storage tier.
For now, that makes it difficult to justify upgrading a plan specifically for extra AI access.
Check what you already pay for
Alongside these changes, iCloud+ continues to include Hide My Email, iCloud Private Relay, Custom Email Domain and event creation through Apple Invites, subject to availability.
The most valuable addition will depend on how you use Apple’s services. Some households gain entertainment subscriptions, while others benefit more from better camera recordings or expanded email options.
Start with your subscription details and existing devices. You may find a useful benefit already included in your monthly payment.
