How to improve your website structure can be a bit tricky topic because it depends of course on your business, products, services and the most important your audience. But again ‘less is more’ always win. A website is like a digital brochure in less than two clicks visitors should know who you are, what you do, where to find your products/services/prices/ and how to contact you.
Here a classic but safe menu structure:
– Main menu: Home, About, Products, Services, Contact
Website designs always change after the official launch. You should make changes to your professional website at least once per month; it’s an organic channel growing at the same time as your business grows.
Are you feeling overwhelmed with all those pieces of information?
You have access to another option (my favourite) is to create your own website. Not from scratch but by doing your homework, looking for the best web platform, versatility, pricing and how much time it will take you to learn how to use new software.
I’m always for the DYO option because it’s challenging, and I love learning a new skill. But the truth is, I like to have a sense of control over my business.
The good news is when you will learn how to use a specific web platform and will understand how your website works. You will be able to make the website changes without sending emails to a web design charging you each time. Then, one day, you are crazy busy with your business, you can subcontract someone else to update your website for you removing the stress because you will know your website’s perfectly.
These days, you don’t need to have a PhD in computer science to create and manage a website.
And you don’t have to be tech-savvy either.
What you need is someone like me a business owner, a digital marketer and a web designer to guide you on how to create a stronger reliable and successful business website converting leads into sales.
