Asus has launched the ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace, a 24.5-inch OLED gaming monitor with a 720Hz refresh rate, and named it the official monitor of the PGL CS2 Major Singapore 2026. It is the first Counter-Strike Major to be played on OLED and the first held in Southeast Asia.
The monitor uses a TrueBlack Glossy Tandem WOLED panel at 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, with a 0.02ms response time and 1,700 nits of brightness. Colour coverage runs to 99.5 per cent of the DCI-P3 gamut with true 10-bit colour and Delta E under 2 for accuracy.
What features target competitive players?
The PG259QWS Ace adds a Position Sensor that reads out the monitor’s placement in real time, useful for players who need the same setup at every event. A Pro Setting to Share option lets competitors copy display settings through the DisplayWidget Center app, and a Quick OSD menu carries three eSports colour modes.
For panel longevity, the monitor pairs OLED Care Pro with a Neo Proximity Sensor and GaNFET cooling, backed by a 3-year burn-in warranty.
Why does the CS2 Major matter here?
The Major runs from November 24 to December 13, 2026, in Singapore, and marks the point where top-level Counter-Strike moves from LCD to OLED screens.
“ROG delivered it. Together, we are giving players and fans a Major of firsts,” said Silviu Stroie, Chief Executive Officer of PGL.
Vincent Chiou, Asus Corporate Vice President and General Manager of the Display Business Unit, framed the tie-up as a shift for the game. “Bringing the ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace to the Major stage is the moment competitive Counter-Strike moves to OLED,” he said.
Asus has not announced pricing or a release date.
